Molded Case Circuit Breakers (Q Frame)

PowerPact Q-Frame Molded Case Circuit Breakers from Square D by Schneider Electric are designed to provide reliable overcurrent protection and switching for AC electrical systems. These molded case circuit breakers are available in 2-pole and 3-pole models with current ratings ranging from 70 amps to 400 amps, along with 120 VAC and 240 VAC options. Their compact design and flexible mounting configurations make them suitable for a variety of commercial and industrial power distribution applications.

PowerPact Q-frame breakers are equipped with thermal-magnetic trip units that include individual thermal and magnetic sensing elements in each pole. The thermal element helps protect against overload conditions that develop over time, while the magnetic element responds quickly to short-circuit faults. These breakers also feature dual-break rotating contacts that help reduce peak current during a fault, along with an over-center toggle mechanism for quick-make, quick-break operation. Internal cross-bars allow all poles to open and close together with a single handle, and the center tripped position provides clear visual indication when the breaker has operated.

Q-frame molded case circuit breakers are available in both unit-mount and I-Line constructions. Unit-mount breakers may be supplied with mounting studs for bus-mounted applications or with lugs on both ends for cable connections. These breakers are commonly installed in metering devices, individual enclosures, switchboards, and panelboards, while I-Line versions are specifically designed for use in I-Line panelboards and switchboards.
