Terminal Plugs
Electrical wire connectors called terminal plugs are reliable and secure, yet they are also very good for quick and easy connecting and disconnecting. That's why they're commonly found in control panels, test equipment, and modular electronic assemblies. Through these components, technicians can connect and disconnect parts of an electrical system rapidly. This quick installation and removal means that operators can achieve the reconfigurations necessary to keep a system going without having to do any serious rewiring. Terminal plugs are, therefore, a good solution for making an electrical system reliable and easy-to-service.
There exist many types of terminal plugs. These can generally be split into two broad categories: application-specific plugs and general-use plugs. They can handle many sizes and types of solid or stranded wires. By and large, these wiring components use screws or push-in terminals at the back end, where the wire is inserted into the hole. Unlike some of the other wiring components, these products never use IDCs (insulation displacement connectors). At the front, they often have some type of plug mechanism that can plug into another component.

Terminal Block Connection Types
Screw Terminal Blocks
Screw Terminal Blocks are the most common connection type and are made with a stripped wire and screwdriver. For the most stringent requirements, the screw connection has proven itself in the wiring of large conductor cross sections.
Spring Connection Terminal Blocks
Spring Connection Terminal Blocks are designed with a special contact spring that allows easy insertion and guarantees a high level of contact quality.
Push-In Terminal Blocks
Push-In Terminal Blocks provide easy insertion with push-in connection technology. Conductors from 0.25 mm² can be connected directly, without the need for tools.
Fast Connection Terminal Blocks
Fast Connection Terminal Blocks provide contacting within seconds. No stripping or crimping. Simply cut the cable to length and it makes contact within seconds.
Barrier Terminal Blocks
Barrier Terminal Blocks are used whenever vibration is an issue, typically in rail or transportation industries. They are used with spade or ring terminal connectors placed over the bolt and secured a nut.
