Molded Case Circuit Breakers (P Frame)

PowerPact Molded Case Circuit Breakers (P Frame) from Square D by Schneider Electric are UL 489 listed circuit breakers designed to protect electrical systems from overloads and short circuits. These molded case circuit breakers are available in 2-pole and 3-pole configurations with current ratings from 250 to 1200 amps. Designed for commercial and industrial power distribution systems, P-frame breakers combine reliable overcurrent protection with advanced electronic trip capabilities.

PowerPact P-frame circuit breakers feature dual-break rotating contacts that help reduce peak current during short-circuit faults, along with an over-center toggle mechanism for quick-make, quick-break operation. Internal cross-bars provide common opening and closing of all poles with a single handle. The breaker handle has three distinct positions: ON, OFF, and tripped, with the center tripped position providing a clear visual indication that the breaker has opened due to an overcurrent or fault condition.

These breakers are available with either a basic electronic trip system or a Micrologic trip system. Electronic trip units simulate the function of a thermal magnetic trip unit while providing more precise tripping and reduced sensitivity to ambient temperature changes. Micrologic trip units add adjustable protection settings, measurement capabilities, and communication features that support improved system visibility and control. Using built-in sensors and intelligence, PowerPact P-frame circuit breakers can provide access to key electrical measurements, event histories, alarms, and maintenance indicators through on-screen displays, front display modules, or communication networks.
