Description
The metal bell box, with well configuration has a NEMA 3R rating and is designed for wet environments. It has male 1/2 inch NPT threads and the sensing element is double encapsulated to avoid sensor failures caused by moisture infiltration. ACI also standardizes with etched Teflon lead wires and 2 part wells. ACI immersion temperature sensors are designed for HVAC, Building Automation Systems, and light industrial applications. Specific applications include: chillers, hot water systems, tanks, and boilers. NOTE: Welded thermowells are not intended for moving water or high pressure service. Fluid velocity and wake frequency are primary factors in well failure. Machined thermowells should be used in these types of applications.

The ACI Thermistor Immersion Series features a 6.35 mm(¼ in) diameter stainless steel probe with two, 35.6 mm (14in), 0.65 mm (22 AWG) Etched Teflon colored lead wiresdepending on the probe length ordered to differentiatethe different sensor types
The sensors in this series aremanufactured using ACI’s proven double encapsulationprocess to eliminate the effects of moisture and to increasethe response times using our high quality, thermallyconductive epoxy
The immersion sensors include awelded thermowell “-I” version but can be ordered withoutthe welded thermowell “-INW” version
The “INW” versionincludes a standard ½ in NPS Male process thread to beused with an optional machined thermowell or in an existingthermowell application
