IDEC Miniature Breakers

IDEC miniature circuit breakers (MCBs) are designed to provide overcurrent protection to electrical circuits in industrial control panels, machinery, and commercial power distribution systems. Miniature circuit breakers automatically disconnect a circuit when it detects a fault, protecting the system from overload and short-circuit conditions.

One of the key benefits of IDEC MCBs is their compact design, which enables installation in DIN-rail mounted applications where space is limited such as in control panels and automation enclosures. A variety of trip curves and current ratings are available in order to cover the requirements of a wide range of applications. For example, B, C, and D trip curves are common, allowing the user to select the appropriate trip curve for the application (e.g. B curve for resistive loads, C curve for inductive loads, and D curve for motor loads). The B, C, and D trip curves refer to the standard trip characteristics of the MCB as defined by IEC 60947-2 (trip characteristics B, C, and D).

These breakers are designed for low-voltage applications and are manufactured to international standards such as UL 489, IEC 60947-2, and EN 60947-2.
