More Information about Ritual Enclosures
Rittal Wall-Mount Enclosures
Rittal Wall-Mount Enclosures set the standard for maximum use of space and ease of installation. WM enclosures incorporate precision engineering for virtually any application. NEMA protection ratings are ensured through a secure locking system, foamed-in-place gasket and knife-edge perimeter. They offer simple interior installation and a flexible cable entry point.
Rittal Free-Standing and Modular Enclosures
Rittal Free-Standing and Modular Enclosures includes the TS 8 modular system and the VX25 large enclosure system. The TS 8 modular enclosure system provides flexibility, scalability, strength and durability. From baying, panel installation, grounding or routine maintenance tasks, the TS 8 is safer and more time efficient than any other modular enclosure on the market. TS 8 products excel on the plant floor and in the most extreme conditions. The VX25 large enclosure system sets itself apart with a fully symmetrical frame profile and significantly reduced complexity, with simplified and better integrated baying technology for all applications.
Rittal Disconnect Enclosures
Rittal Disconnect Enclosures include the TS 8 Flange Mount Disconnect (FMD) Enclosure, which is a standard enclosure designed to accept most commercially available operator handles. It's flexible, modular design is listed UL Type 12 and allows for easy integration into any industrial system.
Rittal Junction & Terminal Boxes
Rittal Junction & Terminal Boxes feature a large variety of small enclosures including: polycarbonate enclosures PK, aluminum enclosures GA, small enclosures KX, carbon steel in the terminal box versions with and without a flange, e-boxes and bus enclosures. The wall-mounted housings satisfy the most stringent requirements for protecting electrical components for small control applications, with a protection category up to IP 66.
Rittal Hygienic Design Enclosures
Rittal Hygienic Design Enclosures are designed specifically for use in the food and beverage industry. The small and compact enclosures, large enclosures and accessories are made from stainless steel in Hygienic Design variants.
Electrical enclosures are cabinets that are designed to house electrical components. Their main function is to protect the components, as well as to protect the operators from electrical hazards. Enclosures are typically made of solid plastics, fiberglass and metal materials, such as carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
One of the most important things to consider when selecting an electrical enclosure is the NEMA rating. NEMA stands for National Electrical Manufacturer Association. They have developed a rating system which determines the types of environments an electrical enclosure can be used in.
NEMA 1 and a NEMA 12 enclosures. Both of these enclosures are intended for indoor use only. They are both dust resistant. The NEMA 12 enclosure is rated for damp environments. The NEMA 1 is rated only for dry environments.
NEMA 4 and NEMA 4X enclosures. Both of these enclosures can be used indoors as well as outdoors. They are both dust resistant. They are also water resistant and corrosion resistant. NEMA 4X has an extra layer of corrosion resistance.
NEMA 7 enclosures. This is a more specific type of enclosure that is rated for use in hazardous environments. It is rated to contain an explosion within the enclosure and not cause any sort of external hazard.
Size. When selecting the size of an enclosure, it is important to consider the following: how much space will the electrical components occupy, how much space is needed around each component, is there enough room to run all of the wires and how much space is needed outside of the enclosure?
Temperature. When selecting an enclosure, it is important to consider both the ambient temperature and the temperature that is generated inside of the enclosure. When an enclosure is located outside in direct sunlight, that heat can be transferred inside the enclosure. Also, each component inside of the enclosure generates a certain amount of heat.
