Description
Dwyer CDTA-5N000-LCD is a communicating carbon dioxide detector with a temperature range of 32 to 122°F (0 to 50°C). It has an accuracy of ±40 PPM ±3% of reading 2000 PPM for CO2, ±50 PPM + 5% of reading 5000 PPM for CO2, and ±2% for RH. The power requirement is 10-42 VDC / 10-30 VAC. It has a response time of 2 minutes for a 90% step change. The range for CO2 is 0 to 2000 or 5000 PPM depending on the model. It operates at 0 to 85% RH and uses a 2-wire RS-485, Modbus® RTU or BACnet MS/TP communication protocol. The CO2 sensor has a 15-year life expectancy and the humidity sensor uses a capacitive polymer. The temperature sensor is solid state band gap.

Both the Series CDTA and the CDTC’s parameters include carbon dioxide, temperature, and temperature set point with override while the CDTA also includes a humidity sensor
By having field selectable Modbus® and BACnet Communications, only four wires are needed for power and the communication signal
The communicating detectors can be daisy chained together to further reduce installation cost
In order to reduce the set up time, the RS-485 MAC address is set up using on-board DIP switches
A second set of DIP switches are used to select whether output is Modbus® RTU or BACnet MS/TP communication protocols and to limit access to the set up menu
