IDEC Signal Towers

IDEC signal towers (also known as stack lights) are used to provide visual and audible status indication for industrial automation and control applications. They are a simple and effective way to display machine and process status information to an operator, typically providing indication of normal operation, warning, alarm, or maintenance required status. They can also be used to provide status indication of safety switches, emergency stops and other safety devices in a factory automation environment.

Stack lights are available as a pre-assembled or modular type. Modular stack lights allow engineers and control panel builders to choose the configurations that best fit their specific application. Modular stack lights are composed of a combination of LED light modules and sound modules, which are stacked together to create the desired combination. Stack lights, whether modular or pre-assembled, utilize high-intensity LEDs to provide visibility from long distances.

Stack lights are designed for use in industrial environments, and have high resistance to vibration, dust and continuous operation. They are designed to interface with a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), relay or other industrial control device. They support a range of control voltages that are common in control panels, and are available with flexible mounting options.
